TRI-STATE AUTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP
Every year for over forty years each state has sent a team of thirty
drivers to represent their state in the championship. Twenty-five of these competitors count for championship points, and the remaining five can be used as alternates and to block the other teams drivers from getting points. The location of this event switches each year between the three states. Last year the event was hosted in Bristol CT by CART. This year the host state is New Jersey.
Each year the Connecticut Council of Sports Car Clubs picks thirty drivers to represent the State of Connecticut
at the Tri-State Autocross Championship. The object, of course is to pick a winning team. Last year Connecticut
won the perpetual trophy that was donated forty years ago by the New York City Herald Tribune and got to be the “keeper of the trophy” for the year. This year Connecticut needs to keep the where it belongs.
This year the event will be in October. This season, the Council will be looking to put the team together. We need your support to field a full, winning team. The council will be reviewing the results from all the Connecticut events and contacting drivers to participate, so if you’ve been holding back, now is the time to let it all hang out and drive as fast as you can.
